. I started just drawing the owl, but I decided since it was a night time scene that she should have a Gryffindor scarf- its only fitting. I decided the setting would be the school owlery, complete with a Gothic style window looking out at the moon- another one of my favorite things. For reference, I used two stills from the Harry Potter movies, one of Harry as probably a 2nd year holding Hedwig, and the other of windows in the castle courtyard. I started this yesterday- its a teeny tiny piece, only 2.5" x 3.5"- its a watercolor paper sketchcard and now sits in a little plastic sleeve. Thank you for looking!
